Story
"A new look, a new outlet"
Hello all! My name is Shanygne Davis (pronounced 'sha-NEEN') and I'm a recent high-school graduate of Queensland, Australia.
During my senior years I was battling 'mixed anxiety and depression disorder' and hit many bumps on my way to finishing school.
To begin the new chapter of my life, I decided to get a hair cut. "A new look, a new outlet", right?
Well recovering cancer patients also attain a new look, but not one so positive. Since my disease can be hidden, I could go to school and pretend everything is okay. People trying to recover from therapy cannot do that, and can have trouble moving on.
What I want to give someone this Christmas is a chance to feel normal again: A new look, a new outlet.
Before Christmas my hair will be put into multiple ponytails and cut off at the hair-tie, that's over 35cm of curly locks for cancer!
Donations will remain open until January 20th 2016.
Please share my story amongst friends to spread awareness and Christmas cheer; your donations will be a fantastic addition to this cause and bring smiles to families all over Australia.
